7 Days from Ouarzazate – Discovery of the dunes of Chegaga from Oaurzazate

This 7-day desert adventure begins with your arrival in Ouarzazate and a restful evening at your hotel. On Day 2, after exploring the Taourirt Kasbah and cinema museum, you’ll journey through the lush Draa Valley, stopping at Tamegroute to visit its historic Koranic library and pottery workshops, before arriving in M’hamid, the gateway to the desert. Day 3 offers a morning excursion across the Draa River to explore ancient fortified kasbahs and experience local life, followed by a relaxing afternoon by the pool. On Day 4, you’ll visit M’hamid’s kasbahs and palm groves before heading deeper into the desert, stopping at a sacred oasis for lunch and meeting nomads on your way to the stunning dunes of Erg Chegaga. After settling into your tent, enjoy a magical sunset and dinner by the campfire. Day 5 includes a camel trek, tea with nomads, and a picnic lunch before returning to camp for another peaceful evening under the stars. The journey back to Ouarzazate on Day 6 takes you past the dry Lake Iriqui, through the rocky desert to Foum Zguid, with a stop in Taznakht to visit a women’s carpet-weaving cooperative.
